Support Oklahoma Catholic Schools

We support Parental Choice Tax Credits in Oklahoma that will make Catholic school more affordable and more accessible for working-class families.

Parental Choice Tax Credits will also aid in the creation of new Catholic schools to meet parent demand and support the Church by increasing the impact of its charitable funds.

Join the cause to support The Parental Choice Tax Credit Act:

The Oklahoma Parental Choice Tax Credit Act allows every parent to access a refundable tax credit to support private school tuition or to cover the cost of homeschooling expenses.

This $5,000-$7500 Tax Credit for Private School Tuition Helps Children Who:

  • Have special needs and can thrive in specialized learning environments
  • Want to go to a faith-based school
  • Are being bullied in a public school classroom
  • Are stuck in a failing school

The $1000-$2,500 Tax Credit for Homeschoolers May Be Used For:

  • Curriculum
  • Online courses
  • Concurrent enrollment in Oklahoma college courses

Because HB 1935 is a tax credit, there are no strings attached that impede parental freedom/control of their children’s education.

Why School Choice Matters:

Research shows students with access to school choice programs are:

– More likely to enroll in and graduate from college
– More likely to have higher standardized test scores
– Less likely to be incarcerated
– Less likely to have mental illness or attempt suicide

About Us

Support OK Catholic Schools is a partnership between the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tulsa, and the American Federation for Children. We support school choice, education freedom, and the creation of a universal ESA/voucher program in Oklahoma.

Resources for Parents

While Oklahoma does not have a universal Parental Tax Credit program in place, it does have scholarships available for qualifying students. Learn more about the Opportunity Scholarship Program and the Lindsey Nicole Henry Scholarship Program here.
